Vice President – Cultural, Spiritual & Community Services – Lavina D’sa

Lavina D’sa the eldest daughter of Jerome Mendonca and Clotilda Mendonca hails from St. John Evangelist Church, Pangla, Udupi Diocese. She is married to Lawrence Sunil D’sa and is the mother of two sweet girls Liza D’sa and Laura D’sa.

Lavina feels that her School –St. Cecilys School, Udupi greatly contributed to develop her hidden talents and to present to the world the personality she is today. Her parents have been her great pillars of support and the love of her husband and kids is the reason behind her identity as a Konkani activist in the Ghala Parish community.

During her tenure as a student of  Biomedical Engineering, MIT Manipal, she has been the Winner of National level Student paper contest held at Baba Atomic Research Center Mumbai. After her graduation, Lavina worked as a lecturer at KLE Engineering college, Belgaum and has also contributed immensely to the  formulation the Biomedical Engineering syllabus for the VTU university. She currently works as Marketing Manager at Oman Medical Supplies and Services Co LLC .

A well-known compere and event organizer, Lavina has conducted and compered more than over 75 events in the past 15 years. At her young age she has staged various dance and acting performances and won solo dance contests and best MC award at Shirva Varado level .She has also been an active member of CYM Pangla.

Her mantra is “Women empowerment” and through her sincerity and hard work she strives to accomplish perfection in any task assigned to her. She believes in bringing out the hidden talents in the Mangalorean community in Oman and hopes to bring into focus many such talents during her tenure as Vice President Cultural, Spiritual and Community services.
